Social Skills Group for Adults
The focus of this 5-week therapy group is on social skills specific to the work setting, higher education, and the dating world.
This is a small group format that allows individualized support for each participant.
The goal of this group is to enable participants to:

Identify personal strengths and weaknesses relative to social skills.

Gain awareness of strengths and how to use them in social situations, while developing other
skills to eliminate weaknesses.

Receive modeling and coaching of critical social skills needed for successful social interactions,
such as reading nonverbal messages, and managing one’s emotions (anger and/or anxiety).

Practice these critical skills in a confidential group setting.

Refine skills with feedback to insure optimal performance in social environments.
Below is an outline of our 5-session workshop:
Sending and receiving messages
Physical boundaries & mental boundaries, such as topics of conversation
Starting and maintaining a conversation
Using calming strategies and problem solving steps
